University of Calgary Scholarships for International Students in Canada

 

University of Calgary Scholarships are available to international students to pursue higher studies. Undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate programs are among the academic levels at which these scholarships are offered. The following are only a few of the University of Calgary’s international student scholarships and awards:

University of Calgary International Entrance Scholarship

offered yearly to international undergraduate students who have met the university’s English language proficiency criteria and will be starting their first year of any undergraduate degree in the forthcoming autumn semester. Renewable in the second, third, and fourth years at the University of Calgary, given that the winners continue to pay the international differential tuition charge as an international student and attain a GPA of 2.60 or higher over a minimum of 24.00 units in the preceding fall and winter terms.
Students from outside Canada who are not citizens or permanent residents of Canada and who must pay foreign tuition expenses

University of Calgary Award for International Student Athletes

Each year, this opportunity is extended to overseas undergraduate students enrolled in undergraduate programs for the autumn semester who are Dinos athletes and have met the English Language Proficiency criterion. There is no eligibility for students enrolling in The International Foundations Program.

CIBC International Entrance Scholarship

offered yearly to a foreign undergraduate student starting their first year of study in any undergraduate program at the University of Calgary in the next autumn semester

Navin and Usha Varshney International Bursary in Engineering

Offers to an overseas undergraduate student who has met the English Language Proficiency standard and is required to pay international tuition fees and who is starting their first year at the Schulich School of Engineering every year. It is not possible for students to enroll in The International Foundations Program.

Criteria for University of Calgary Scholarships

• All rewards that aren’t reserved just for citizens or permanent residents of Canada are open to international students.
• To be eligible, international students must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate degree program.

Application Procedure

It’s simple to apply for awards. You will be given consideration for all the awards for which you qualify if you submit an application for each competition that offers prizes.

1. Go to my.ucalgary.ca to access My UCalgary.
2. Go to the “My Financials” page in My UCalgary.
3. After navigating to the Awards & Scholarships webpage, select “Apply for Undergraduate Awards” by scrolling down. Make sure popups are turned on. Should popups be blocked, the page won’t show up.
4. Your screen will display a pop-up window containing any open or recently closed applications. Please be mindful of the dates marked “Application Deadline” and “Application Available.”
